An Affiliate Unit of ICCS-US

Museum

Inaugurated in 2017, RIWATCH Museum is an ethnographic Museum with immense collection of valuable articles contributed by the people, free of cost. The kind of display, the storyline, rare collection, and the write-up in the museum makes RIWATCH Museum truly a learning center than merely a store house of age-old articles.

It provides an opportunity to research scholars, students, and the people in general to know more about our ancient past, the cultural traditions, the Himalayas- where we live in, and understanding of commonalities among the indigenous communities across the globe.

It is one of its’ kind museums in northeast India.  At present the Museum has three blocks. The first block is dedicated to Arunachal Pradesh, the second Block to North East India and the third Block to the Museum of  International Understanding. The galleries of the third block are upcoming, with ethnographic articles and the folklore of various indigenous communities across the globe. The very objective is to showcase the commonalities and not the diversities.  The museum also demonstrates an important message that all indigenous communities of the world think alike and cherish the same dream. In Bhartiya concept it is aptly called as “Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam”.
