The RIWATCH Arogya Panchakarma-based Wellness Centre successfully organised two free medical camps in Abango and Horupahar villages of Lower Dibang Valley district on 27 and 29 July 2026 as part of its ongoing outreach initiative to improve access to healthcare in remote communities.
The camps were led by Medical Officer Dr. Techi Yumyi (BAMS) and her team, who provided free medical consultations, health check-ups, and Ayurvedic medicines to villagers. The initiative aimed to make quality healthcare accessible to underserved communities while promoting awareness of Panchakarma therapy as a holistic system of preventive and therapeutic healthcare.
The first medical camp, held at Abango village on 27 July, attended to eight patients, including five men and three women. Most of the patients sought treatment for common health concerns such as knee pain, back pain, and other musculoskeletal ailments.
The second camp, organized at Horupahar village on 29 July, witnessed a greater response, with 31 patients receiving free medical consultations and treatment. Altogether, 39 patients benefited from the two camps, while around 50 community members participated in health awareness sessions conducted alongside the consultations.
During the awareness programm, Dr. Yumyi explained the importance of Panchakarma therapy in preventive healthcare, pain management, detoxification, and overall wellness. She encouraged villagers to adopt healthy lifestyles, maintain balanced nutrition, and consider Ayurvedic treatment as a complementary approach to achieving long-term health and well-being.
The outreach programm reflects RIWATCH Arogya Centre’s continued commitment to extending traditional and holistic healthcare services to rural communities, improving access to basic medical care, and promoting awareness of indigenous systems of healing in Lower Dibang Valley.
